Session 1: Morning

This Session is for children entering Grades 1-4
July 27-31, 2020
9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Description

During VBS, kids will discover that Jesus' love provides a foundation that will last. When the storms of life come, they'll need the One who will be with them to the end of the age.

When anxiety sets in, they'll need the assurance that true worth comes from being a child of God, not from what other people think about them. When they feel unworthy, they can remember that Jesus loved them enough to die for them.

Life is a hard hat zone. But just wait 'til you see what God will do!

So come and join us for a week of fun games, activities, singing, Bible stories and a chance to meet some new friends.

Because we are limited to 25 kids for each session, we are running them at multiple times. We ask that you register your child for only one of the VBS time slots for each of the two (2) different themes.

Safe, Clean and Loving

We’re taking additional steps to keep our Kids@Bethel environments safe (and fun) for your family. Here is a summary of what we are doing:

  • We’ve increased hygiene and cleaning protocols in our Kids@Bethel spaces during and between services.
  • Additional hand-sanitizing stations will be available in Kids@Bethel check-in and hallway area.
  • All toys and hard surfaces will be sanitized at every session.
  • We will not be giving out snacks to the children.
  • Water will be provided for them to drink throughout the time they are at VBS.  It will be served to them in disposable cups that will be disposed of after each use.
  • Limit of 25 children for each VBS session.

When you arrive, be ready for a redesigned check-in process to help support a safe environment. We will ask everyone including staff and volunteers in Kids@Bethel:

  • Have you or anyone in your household been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
  • Do you exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19 – have a fever, shortness of breath or cough?
  • Have you been out of country or in Eastern provinces past Terrace Bay, Ontario in the past 14 days?
  • Our touch-less experience will extend to check-in as volunteers will help you at the check-in.

We encourage you to only send one parent for drop-off and pick-up to help limit traffic. Parents, you can pick up your kids from their classrooms. They will ask you for the pick-up tag you were given at check-in. Children are only released to adults that have that pick-up tag which is unique to your family.

Be sure to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands before entering Kids@Bethel. Encourage your child to do the same.

You’ll see lots of big waves, but let’s avoid hugs, high-fives, and handshakes.
