Waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting......running in and out of a store or the bank used to be no big deal, but now we stand in line, answer a bunch of questions, and I ask myself do I really need that.

It’s not a bad thing to wait when I’m not in a hurry, but when I just want to get it done or have places to go, people to see, things to do, and it feels like I’m living in a community of snails, life can be frustrating.

David was anointed King long before he ever took the throne. His journey makes for a great novel in and of itself.

Abraham and Sarah were to become a nation? A lot of life happened before that came to pass.

Even for Jesus, the son of God, ministry didn’t start until he was anointed by the Holy Spirit in his 30s. One can’t help but be curious about what was his life was like until the record we have in the new testament.

God has given you a promise, and God is the best promise keeper I know. He will come through if we continue to trust in his timing and planning.

In a song that comes to mind, “If I Had a Million Dollars,” the singers go on to say I’d buy a house, a k-car, furniture, build a treehouse, a fur coat, exotic pet, limousine, Kraft dinner and really expensive ketchup and a monkey along with other things.

It also says I’d buy your love.

It’s a creative, catchy song that got lots of attention and airplay in years past. But can you really buy someone’s love?

Sometimes I think we believe God does.

If He does this, this, and this… and my life consists of this, this, and this…then I will Love God with all my heart.

But I don’t think God is out to buy our love. He just loves us first and foremost!

1 John 4:19. “He (God) first loved us.” Love comes first; it’s not bought, earned, rewarded. God is Love!
