“He that is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much: and he that is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much.” – Luke 16:10  (NIV)

Character is developed in the little things. It’s not character if you only do it when the spotlight is on you or you only do it one time. Part of being faithful is being faithful consistently; being known as a person who is trustworthy over time and who follows through on responsibility.

Deuteronomy 23:23 says, “Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the LORD your God with your own mouth.” We choose what we commit to. Then we choose to follow through or not. Sometimes the little things don’t seem like they matter but you’re building consistency, trustworthiness and becoming faithful.
