“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” - Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)

Kind is not a word I use every day and it sort of makes me stop and think, what does it mean to be kind? It’s defined as being friendly, generous and considerate. To be kind really comes down to an internal attitude. It’s listed in Galatians as one of the fruits of the spirit.  Fruit doesn’t show up without a tree, roots, leaves, dirt, water, sunshine, etc.  Those things are never the focus of the amazing strawberry or orange but they produce the healthy fruit.

Kindness is like that; it can’t just be a surface thing.  It comes from the spirit of a person; it comes from the Spirit of God working in a person.

God create within me a place from which I can be kind and compassionate to others.
