Patient

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.” - Romans 12:12 (NIV)

Patient… I love that word!! That is when it’s about others being patient with me. Just a couple more minutes and I’ll be ready; I’m just learning, be patient with me; I’m not sure yet what I’d like to order for supper, can you give me a few more minutes.

But when the shoe is on the other foot and I’m standing in the slowest moving grocery line or wanting to get across town quickly it can be a challenge to “stay calm and not get annoyed”.  

Here Paul even adds patient in affliction.  It’s bad enough to be patient in the comfort of your air conditioned vehicle but to be patient in affliction? God work in me!
